But he was not the only suitor for Serinde's affections. Ever since the night of the ball when he first saw her like a glittering diamond at the top of the stairs, Prince Friedrich was determined that nothing would be too high a price, not kidnapping, murder or war, to make Lady Amerisque his own. Deep in the mists of Prysm, where the land is dying and needing one to bring the magic back, repairing the rift between the rulers and healing the land before it's too late. Serinde's Grandmother decides nothing will get in the way of bringing her Granddaughter home to her rightful place. She traps Serinde's love in the dungeons of Seregmir to secretly make him disappear while marrying Serinde to the fey Prince Arahel, uniting all of Prysm once more. Serinde finds herself enmeshed in a web of lies and deceit, unable to escape the net woven around her. Somehow she has to save her beloved, and foil the cunning plans of the four rulers of Prysm so that the Fey are free of their machinations once and for all. It seems an impossible task to free the land, especially as Prysm is a truly sentient magical land with a mind of its own, and has decided for itself who was going to rule over her people. Words by Pedir the Wise are fulfilled at terrible cost and Serinde finds herself woven in the tale risking all she holds dear frantically hiding the most important secret in both kingdoms.
Author Biography
Hi my name is Debs Goddard and I have been painting and illustrating for over 30 years now.I have wanted to write for as long as I can remember and would write short stories and poetry for my own and my children's entertainment. I met my husband Ian when I was nineteen. Ian asked me to marry him the morning of the third day after we'd met and I said yes. We were married eight months later. I was diagnosed with cancer for my 23rd birthday and again at my 39th birthday. In between this time, we managed to have three lovely children that I treasure. From the time I had cancer at 23 my husband, who was working as a nurse then, looked after me and became a dad who did everything. He cooked, cleaned, and worked very hard keeping our family together. I was in acute pain and he was the best husband I could have had. He went back to school during this time then, to university to become a teacher, and studied for four years to achieve this aim thinking it would provide a better future for our family. In the next ten years, I was in and out of hospital getting surgery twice a year, but sometimes ending up in hospital five or six times a year. No matter what happened, Ian was there for us. I had never dreamed of having a support like Ian, especially as sometimes he had to work during the day as well as at night while still being the house hubby we needed. I had worked as a commission artist while Ian was looking after us. I am an artist and I wanted to illustrate my stories; I always wanted to write and to put two things I am passionate about together to be able to achieve what I have always wanted to do my whole life. I hope you enjoy my stories.
