When I started writing this book eleven years ago, I thought this would be for women. But, the more I came to understand this epidemic and the more research I did. I came to the realization that gender has nothing to do with it. What determines whether or not someone becomes a victim of this epidemic is the role a person- male or female- chooses to take in their relationship.
