Author Biography

Kathryn Nermoe is the author of #1 Amazon Civics & Citizenship Bestseller and Amazon Leadership Top 12 Bestseller, "I've Got the Mission Statement, Now What? 8 Core Competencies for Transformational Leadership." Nermoe, who grew up in Iowa the daughter of an evangelical preacher and a music teacher, is an organizational-leader-turned-engagement-evangelist. With a background in government and health care, Nermoe has held executive leadership positions in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Her book focuses on a common and pervasive thread woven between all three: The need for engagement - employee engagement, citizen engagement and donor engagement. Nermoe has never been one to embrace status quo. She sees the broad possibilities of both citizenship and organizational performance in today's rapidly changing economy; but only if leaders fully appreciate the impact social capital has on community and corporation.
