This is a book of recipes passed down through the generations from my great grandmother, grandmother, and mother. They came from many cousins and friends. I've added my own favorites that I've collected in the fifty years I've been cooking.

For me, home cooking always made a house feel like a home--the delicious smell of cookies fresh from the oven when I walked in the door after school or a pot roast dinner beckoning us to the dinner table.
