A sail training ship is sailing across the South Atlantic from Cape Town to Brazil with college students. They stop at the mysterious island of St Helena. Four students pull off a daring raid of Napoleon Bonaparte's tomb. It goes terribly wrong. Half way to Brazil one of the four students is found murdered on board the ship. The communications equipment has also been sabotaged. They are alone, at sea, with a killer on board and days to go until they reach shore. Captain John Otter has to keep the killer from striking again, protect the ship from the storm and see justice prevail.
