The vocal score of Verdi's opera in four acts with libretto by Francisco Maria Piave. The opera is based on the work "Don lvaro o la fuerza del sino" by ngel de Saavedra, 3rd Duke of Rivas. It was first performed in the Bolshoi Kamenny Theatre in St Petersburg in 1862. The libretto is in the original Italian.
