Today is not my favourite day.
Today is hair wash day.
The soap and bubbles always get in the way.
They fly and they float and they fill the air.
I try and I try but it always ends in tears.
Stingy soap
Ouchy eyes
Rub, rub, rub
then I scream and cry.
It will be OK
It will be just fine
Take deep breaths
Now count to five.
Lalo is a brave little boy with a large afro and imagination, who really does not like washing his hair.
Lalo gets scared when soap and water splash on his face and unfortunately today is shampoo day.
But mum has a plan and a new shower cap that might be just what he needs.
