Author Biography

Heidi Heuerman started sewing when she was eight years old. She started young, making Holly Hobby dolls, then Barbie clothes, funky jewelry, clothes, and home décor trinkets. While earning her degree in Human Resource Sciences at Colorado State University, she took a painting class, and loved it. Years later, while trying to find a way to combine her love of painted landscapes and sewing she started creating fiber paintings. Heuerman's works have been displayed in several galleries and collections across the United States. She took top honors at State and National awards for her fiber and quilted arts. Heidi lives with her family in Sheridan Wyoming. In their spare time they enjoy taking road-trips, learning about local history and seeing new and interesting sights. She especially enjoys her visits to the mountains, always looking for a new fiber painting idea.
