The author of the following pages has endeavored to present a fair view of the arguments and objections of his opponents, and to meet those arguments and objections with sound logic and divine testimony. The whole is committed to the spirit of truth, with earnest prayer that it may in some degree contribute to promote the cause of evangelical piety, the salvation of men, and the glory of God.
