EXCERPT: I can remember a lot of incredible discipleship weekends, church summer camps, and retreats with my youth group. I saw a pattern with these events. I went and it was really awesome. But then I got back home to my normal routine and slowly and slowly - though sometimes quickly - saw the feeling and passion and commitment and experience fade. This often meant that I was disappointed because each time I resolved that "things will be different this time" and then saw that they were not that different at all. I reached a point where I started to just expect that spiritual high to be temporary. In this book we will take a look at this common Christian experience in order to better understand it and what it means for our life and faith.
