Life As Bao is a book about diversity and acceptance of others that may seem different. The story is about Bao, who recently moved from Noodletown to Foodville, and immediately felt out of place because he looks and talks different. He was being bullied and picked on by others at school just because he was different than others. Due to his kindness, he was able to help his bully and made him realized that we can't judge someone simply by how they look. Once we are able to take the time to get to know someone, we will discover that they are more than just their appearances. Through the story of Bao and his friends, I hope to share a message to see through others beyond just the way they look and learn to embrace diversity.
