It is meant to be light reading and a gateway to help adult learners (usually age 16 and higher) to read longer, more complex English literature, as well as to develop extensive reading skills. The book has been reviewed and approved by Adult learners. The author ran a book club for her students and found that mostly children's books were readily available at her students' reading levels.
