Alma Brown, M.Ed., is a retired reading specialist who is currently certified to teach reading in Virginia and Georgia. As a reading specialist, she identified and diagnosed students requiring special reading instructions, adapted reading strategies to meet the needs of individual students and introduced various strategies that promoted appreciation and enjoyment of reading.
