This is an excellent Spanish language translation of the popular English book, What the Bible Says About Child Training. The English version of this book has been used for over 30 years by thousands of Christian parents world-wide to successfully "Train up a child in the way he should go." What the Bible Says About Child Training is a study designed to help parents better understand their role and to reveal the mechanics for successfully raising children. To accomplish these ends it will carefully define parental authority, accountability, and responsibility. It also describes the nature of a child and explains his Biblically-defined stages of development. With these principles firmly established, the book presents the Scriptural system for training children. This system is divided into two distinct phases, controlling and teaching. *The control phase is the establishment of the parents' right of rulership over the will of the child. When parents can control their children, they have laid the necessary foundation for the fulfillment of the Biblical commandment for children to obey their parents and can then be taught. *The teaching phase of training children can only be accomplished by parents who have first trained their children to obey. This is because, before a child will receive the instructions of his parents, he must first respect their word; and before he will respect their word, he must first become obedient. The following is this book's Prologo written by its traductor, PEDRO G MEZ: Todo aquel que viene a m , y oye mis palabras y las hace, os indicar a qui n es semejante.
Author Biography
Mr. Fugate personally accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized into the Body of Christ at Reinhardt Bible Church in Garland, Texas, in 1968. He and his wife, Virginia, have attended a Bible-teaching church in each city God has sent them to minister: Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, and Sacramento over the past 40 years. Most of their pastors have been graduates of Dallas Theological Seminary. After committing himself in 1971 to serve God anywhere, or in any manner he might be called, Mr. Fugate learned Greek and studied many thousands of hours in the original languages of the Old and New Testament texts. He did not rely on existing systematic Theologies or Bible commentaries; convinced that he needed to perform his own exegesis and word studies to verify or develop doctrines that are substantiated by Scripture alone. He founded the Foundation for Biblical Research (FBR) in 1979 "to determine the one true meaning of Scripture based on honest research and a scientifically sound system of hermeneutics." Each of Mr. and Mrs. Fugate's books, such as this book, are written based on that research. Soon after his commitment to God, Mr. Fugate was called as Business Manager and later became Vice President of Finance for Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.). In 1975, Mr. and Mrs. Fugate were led to start a pilot Christian school in Garland, Texas, based on their experience of having home schooled their own three children for two previous years. In March of 1982 he was hired as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of A.O.P. where he served for the next 13 years. Mr. Fugate was also a Keynote Speaker at 40+ State homeschool conventions in the 1990's and has written three books on home schooling. When A.O.P. was bought out in 1995, the Fugate's went on the road speaking on Biblical marriage, child training, and home schooling while writing second editions of their popular books. Mr. Fugate then served as Business Manager of Family Ministries from 2000 through 2004 until his "retirement" as full-time Director of The Foundation for Biblical Research in Arizona. He continues to research, teach and write on Bible-Based Theology. He has also served as an Elder of, IN THE WORD BIBLE FELLOWSHIP, in Mesa, AZ. The Theological and Philosophical Positions of the Foundation for Biblical Research can be seen at its website, www.FoundationforBiblicalResearch.org.
