Ross Blakey, a mining contractor on Zygol III strays from his compound and is kidnapped by a woman warrior, wielding a sword and dagger, and her grumpy male servant. Not to mention having scary encounters with some flesh-craving creatures, a harsh, windswept desert and sharing a bath with a naked woman. The tale is filled with numerous unpredictable twists and turns, some dramatic, some humorous as Ross Blakey struggles to stay alive. As the story unfolds, the reader is given glimpses of the fascinating philosophy of the Zygols and the curious interdependence of the local wildlife.
