Luke Learns is a series of short stories about a young boy whose father is a Jamaican and mother is an American. Luke lives in a city in Florida and has never been to Jamaica before. He has met most of his Jamaican relatives because they have come to the United States to visit on several occasions, usually around Christmas or summer vacations. So he knows Jamaica Grandma, Uncle Trevor, Aunty Marlene, Aunty Lisa and Uncle Steve. Luke has always wanted to visit Jamaica and his parents have promised to take him there for his summer vacation this year. He is a smart, curious little boy and is always seeking to learn more about his Jamaican heritage and culture.
