Author Biography

Roger Kain is Montefiore Professor of Geography in the University of Exeter, a Fellow of the British Academy and one of its Vice-Presidents. He has been honoured with medals and prizes from The Royal Geographical Society, The Newberry Library Chicago, the Library Association.
