Armando Vasquez was born in Marfa, Texas on February 4, 1925. He is the youngest son of Conrado and Concha Vasquez. His deep affection for the land of West Texas along with his rich heritage not only influenced him as a young boy but also molded him into the caring gentleman everyone knows as "Mando" These memoirs not only show the struggles he and his family endured throughout the years; but also, the blessings that were bestowed upon him along the way. His love of family, music, a work ethic, as well as the values and principles instilled in him at an early age, is evident throughout his life.
