As I write this memoir, I have reached the age of 84. I have had a long and varied career in the workplace since graduating from college in 1956, and I have lost my life partner of almost 59 years on October 11, 2013. I thought writing this would be both therapeutic for me and possibly a useful bit of history for my adult children and grandchildren to help chronicle some of the life steps that got me to this place in time. This is not meant to be a definitive and complete history of my life. Instead, I have presented a series of snap shots of various events during my lifetime as I recall them. Edgar Russell, Jr.
