by Lara Nance (Author)
A witch who walked away from her power.
A sheriff haunted by secrets.
A retirement home built on buried horrors.
When Maeve McKenna trades her witch powers for a quiet life as a nurse practitioner in a Virginia retirement community, peace is the last thing she finds. On her very first day, a shocking suicide shatters the calm.
Drawn into the investigation alongside the town's ruggedly charming sheriff, Paul Sutton, Maeve uncovers disturbing ties between her vulnerable Alzheimer's patients, an old asylum, and a forgotten graveyard buried beneath the community's polished façade.
But something far darker than history lingers in those ruins-something hungry. To stop it from claiming more lives, Maeve must face her own shadows and embrace the magic she swore she'd never use again.
