by Sarah Janabi (Author)
Meraki is a collection of prose and poetry written over the past two years by 19 year old, Sarah Janabi. The word Meraki is of Greek origins having the meaning 'to do something with soul, creativity or love; to leave part of yourself in your work.' This particular name was chosen as the book consists of exactly that; part of the author. Throughout the pages, one will find love, pain, growth, self-love, advice and reality; a roller coaster of emotions inked down on paper. The aim of this book is to create a sense of self-confidence and acceptance in the souls of the readers, spread positivity, awareness and self-love, but most importantly, to make people realize that they are not alone in what they feel. The pieces were inspired by both personal experiences and people's stories, each piece written at a different point in time. (c)copyright belongs to the author.
