Katy Dix has drawn inspiration for this book from her childhood favourites of The Water-Babies by Charles Kingsley with its wonderful illustrations, and The Tiger Who Came to Tea, the charming classic story written and illustrated by Judith Kerr. Children will have fun spotting all the different marine creatures while enjoying the delightful verse and wonderful drawings.
Katy Dix is a doctor and has recently retired from general practice. She lives in rural England and Mimi the Mermaid is her first children's book.
