The Bible and the secret tradition of Israel present us with incense as something sacred. In this book the author focuses on two themes: the sacred and incense as a means to access it. He holds the cabal that when Adam and Eve sinned in paradise, all of their senses were affected by the stain of sin, except one: the sense of smell. Probably the deep meaning of incense is based on this idea: there is still something pure in man from which he can reconnect with his superior soul, with the divine, with God.
