Moments is a collection of short stories and poetry outlining characters facing the joys, perils and mysteries of everyday life. Stories range from themes of romance and war to issues such as stigma and marginalization in today's societies. The stories are influenced by the writer's experiences and observations living and traveling around the world. Each short story is preceded by a piece of poetry. This is the first collection of short fictional stories and poetry by Shashank Mane.
Author Biography
Shashank Mane is a writer previously published through Every Writer Magazine, Indiana Voice Journal, Vignette Review, Diverse Voices Quarterly, The Creative Truth (UK), Gravel, The Sivuvalo project (Finland), and the Boston Association of Art and Poetry for his works of poetry, flash fiction, and short fiction stories. He was nominated for the Sundress Publications "Best of the Net-Fiction 2016" award. His favorite writers include George Orwell, Ernest Hemingway, Anton Chekhov, John Steinbeck, Franz Kafka, Jhumpa Lahiri, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Rabindranath Tagore, Tove Jansson, and many others.
