Michael Mewshaw is an author of numerous fiction and nonfiction books. He frequently works as a travel writer, investigative reporter, book reviewer, and tennis reporter. He was a professor of creative writing at University of Massachusetts at Amherst and the Director of Creative Writing at the University of Texas at Austin.
