Author Biography
Steve Sheward is qualified as both a Career Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and has used his experience of working in both professions to develop a unique combination of cognitive behavioural approaches with career counselling and coaching. He has worked as a senior manager within the careers service for over ten years and was director of the Connexions Service in South London and also managed a range of national adult career counselling services including projects targeting support at unemployed clients. Steve currently works in London for the National Health Service as High Intensity CBT Therapist where he treats patients for a range of psychological problems including depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Steve has also delivered numerous training courses throughout England combining cognitive behavioural approaches with the use of career counselling and coaching to motivate clients. Steve also practices Karate and holds a 2nd dan black belt.
Rhena Branch is a CBT therapist accredited with the BABCP and UKCP and a member of the AREBT. She is also a qualified supervisor. Rhena has her own private practice in North London. In the past she has worked in a variety of settings included alcohol and drug rehabilitation centres, NHS settings and with the Priory Hospital. Rhena teaches and supervises on the MSc course at Goldsmith′s University of London. Co-authored publications to date include: CBT for Dummie′s, Self-esteem for Dummie′s, CBT workbook for Dummies, The Fundamentals of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, The Cognitive Behaviour Counseling Primer.
