An animated television special from 1965 is called A Charlie Brown Christmas. It is the first television program based on Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts comic strip. On December 9, 1965, CBS broadcast the first episode of the program, which Lee Mendelson produced and Bill Melendez directed. Charlie Brown is melancholy in the special despite the arrival of the joyous Christmas season. Lucy advises that he take the helm of a neighborhood Christmas performance, but despite his best efforts, his peers scorn him for selecting a real but small Christmas tree as the centerpiece. Following Linus' explanation of the true meaning of Christmas, the neighborhood decks out the tree as Charlie Brown's Christmas present.

A small yet very thoughtful devotional book. A beautiful way to promote seeing God everyday in everything.
