The breathtaking region of Mustang in Nepal now has new secrets to discover. Only recently opened to trekkers, the Saribung Trek from Mustang to Phu, the traverse from the sacred lakes of Damodar to Samdzong village, the high level route through the Mustang Himal and the loop through the hermitage of Chödzong, must surely rate among the most beautiful treks in Mustang.Blending evocative photographs and cultural background with practical information and suggested itineraries, this guidebook offers exciting new possibilities to trekkers who have previously been limited to the Kali Gandaki Valley between Kagbeni and Lo Manthang. Author Biography

Paulo Grobel is a French high mountain guide who spends much of the year climbing and exploring the Himalaya, mainly in Nepal. He is passionate about the high mountains, the people and their long history that has evolved and continues to evolve over the centuries... as well as the complex blend of religions that are somehow entrenched in today's uncertain way of life. For the rest of the year he is based in the tiny village of Les Hieres in La Grave, France, where he is equally passionate about alpinism and skiing.
