by Stephanie Alves Santos (Author)
When Stela's Beautiful Black Leotard suddenly becomes the center of teasing in ballet class, a new experience meant to bring light hearted fun fun takes a heavy turn. Confused and hurt, Stela must discover the power of confidence, forgiveness, kindness, and most of all self-love.
With the guidance of love, wisdom, and her own growing confidence, Stela begins to discover something powerful: beauty is not defined by one shade, one look, or one voice.
My Beautiful Black Leotard is a tender story about courage, self-love, and celebrating the beauty in every shade, every face. Through Stela's journey, young readers are gently reminded that the things that make us who we are are to be cherished.
Perfect for children ages 5-10, this empowering picture book opens the door for meaningful conversations about identity, self-confidence, and choosing kindness.
