My Friend Rain is a children's book that explains autism to children 4-8 years of age. Autism, or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) is a developmental delay that impairs the ability to communicate and interact. The book is told from the point of view of a little boy named Evan, who wants the world to know how he feels about his best friend Rain, who has autism. What this book does is explain to children why their friends and classmates may behave or interact differently than they do in hopes of bringing about autism acceptance.
