My Skylighter is based on a true story of what I went through before my daughter, Skylar, was brought into my world. It is about the process of adopting a child in foster care while being a foster parent. It brings up topics about the struggles of some women not being able to conceive but still being able to be a mother to children in need of a good family and a forever home.
