My Super Family is a book about a six-year-old boy named Cory whose parents are divorced and live in separate homes. Cory explores the normal feelings and questions children have when their parents separate or divorce. Cory has a dog named Spot, who becomes his best friend and helps him through the new transitions they will go through together as a blended family. In the book, Spot explains to Cory about the two new special people who will come into their lives; and that they will be called stepparents. Spot reassures Cory that stepparents are good, and can be very nice and fun too Cory begins to develop a personal relationship with both of his stepparents, and in the end, Cory realizes that his family, his SUPER FAMILY, is very special to him
