The North American Aviation B-45 Tornado has long been neglected by aircraft historians. While it began life as a bomber without a mission the development of smaller nuclear weapons allowed it to join Tactical Air Command in that role. The over variant was the RB-45C reconnaissance aircraft which played a part in the Korean War and undertook dangerous missions over the Soviet Union.
