Like many others around the UK at the time, Gary soon became an avid fan, referred to by the press & media as a 'Numanoid'. Numan & M.E. is a compilation of 37 years of memories. From attending the best gig of his life at Wembley Arena in April 1981, to his recent gigs in 2016, this book features it all and more Numan Discos, Record Collecting, Pen Pals, Gigs & even encounters with Page 3 Girls, it is all included here in a book that features both light, and at times, some very dark moments. You'll see that being a fan has been far from an easy experience at times.

Author Biography

Gary Choppen, the author of 'Numan & M.E.' was born in East London on 8th March 1968, sharing his birthday with Gary Numan himself. Growing up in the 1970's, he didn't really have an interest in music as such and more often than not played his parents records in the house. When Gary Numan appeared on the scene in April 1979, it grabbed his attention and he soon became a fanatic. Numan's music also influenced him and in the mid to late 1980's he joined a band himself which saw him playing many gigs around the UK and recording. In 1989 he ventured into the world of DJing after leaving the band and soon became a popular Alternative DJ, playing the music that other DJ's dared not to. In February 2005 he became a full-time DJ. He recently relocated to Norfolk from Hampshire where he now lives with his wife and boxer.
