Ida Rogers is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she received her earliest education. She graduated from high school, became married, relocated to Sacramento, California, where she became the mother of three daughters. She has six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She attended California State University at Sacramento where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Welfare and participated in a graduate program for one semester. She has served in many ministries at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA, including functioning as Sunday School Superintendant and teacher, Director of Christian Education, Deaconess, Prayer Counselor, Chairperson of Women's Ministry, facilitator and speaker at numerous workshops, and was recently inducted into the Mother's Board.
