The first section contains a transcription of the church minutes for the Old Kanawha Baptist Church in Pratt, West Virginia, dating from July 1796 through August 1845. Information which can be gleaned from the minutes includes the date and location of church meetings, baptisms, and member dismissals. Adding to the many names to be found within the records, are member lists, supplemented by death dates. The second section of this work comprises unpublished county records. Among other forms of information these records contain marriages and county court records. A full-name index adds to the value of this work.
