Author Biography

Lisa Wiederlight graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in government and politics and a Master of Public Policy degree. In her graduate school career, she worked in the School of Public Policy's Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy, and was a finalist in the U.S. Presidential Management Internship Program. Lisa has consulted with numerous law enforcement agencies as a grant writer, legislative liaison, and public education campaign director, and served in the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy under General Barry R. McCaffrey (Ret.) Lisa is an active member of the Baltimore-Chesapeake Chapter of the Autism Society of America, has served as a committee member for the Kennedy Krieger Institute's ROAR for Autism annual fundraiser, co-founded the Autism-Asperger Association of Calvert County, and wrote as the Baltimore autism examiner for the Examiner online news service.
