In this gentle, rhyming picture book, author-illustrator Renée Kurilla follows a diverse cast of children as they navigate anger, sadness, shyness, frustration, and other challenging emotions.
Perfect for children ages 3-5,
One Upside-Downy Day helps little readers recognize, name, and manage their feelings while discovering simple ways to self-soothe and regain their balance. Through playful language, expressive illustrations, and relatable everyday experiences, the book encourages emotional awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.
Warm, reassuring, and full of heart, this thoughtful read-aloud reminds children that difficult days happen to everyone and that feelings change with time. A comforting resource for families, caregivers, educators, and anyone helping young children build emotional confidence.
