by Vernon Sigmon (Author)

There has never been a time in history when the world's population in general, and Americans in particular, have been so self absorbed and materialistic about life. This type of living produces self-centeredness, headiness, and high-mindedness. It also creates a trap for parents. By being bound by a lust for things, our priorities for a simple way of life gets distorted. Children so often get pushed to the background because parents want to be in the foreground. What we are reproducing is a group of self-absorbers in future generations who are not self-reliant, but rather self-indulgent people.

The primary concept of this book is to awaken the parent in parenting. Children need a blueprint for their development. But their parents need to create a valid blueprint first so that they can help their children on the path to responsible adulthood. A plan needs to be put into place from the time a mother conceives. Prevention is better than seeking a cure. Parenting is a delightful journey, but one that embraces many challenges. By observing, you will make new discoveries every day and have opportunities to engage with your child-in playtime, communication, education, and other parent-related activities. Growing together with your child is a wonderful adventure. Don't miss it!
