This is a collection of non-fictional accounts of my work in the fields of parole officer, and, substance abuse counselor over a period of twenty years. There are some painful and difficult encounters described, but also some redemption, hope, and humor revealed within. Political essays also weave their way into this, my most honest portrayal of what happened.
