Birthed into the the Maori culture, indigenous people of New Zealand, Claudette and Jeanine have a heart felt passion in promoting indigenous cultures and cultural diversity. Based on recent research, a gap has been identified between the present educational curriculum and the value that indigenous and different cultures hold. In response, the authors have created numerous education programmes and engaging stories, focusing in particular on the indigenous culture of Australia in an effort to honour and preserve its important heritage.
