Family origins can be found in the Kingdom of Poland before relocating to the Pecinov area in the Kingdom of Bohemia. Thus, the surname Pecinovsky. From knighthood and execution of Jindrich Kozel to being freemen under the Habsburg Empire, the Pecinovskys would live in southern Bohemia. Then in 1854, they sailed to America and settled in New Oregon Township, Howard County, Iowa. These are the Pecinovsky ancestors.
