Medical health professionals feel that they have an understanding of OT services, however they do not possess enough knowledge regarding OT roles. There is no significant relationship between perception of knowledge and actual knowledge regarding OT by health professionals. However, they do agree that OT services must be established in the country and regulations on referrals have to be implemented in the hospitals as OT play a crucial role in rehabilitation. Occupational therapy is rarely provided and due to the ever-growing disabled and older community, it is in dire need of this vital rehabilitative service. This book highlighted the current state of OT service, the need for it and the awareness of OT services by health professionals.
