In book two the angels made it back in time to save Perry, and then they didn't leave. At least one stayed and he doesn't seem to be happy. He expects a lot of Perry and Perry begrudgingly tries to comply. In this last third of his freshman year Perry has some tough going, but other than a few hours in the emergency room he manages to stay out of the hospital, but that doesn't mean life is easy; there is pop's heart attack, the mugging at the dumpster, and a counseling session with his mom, who he accuses of dating an 18-year-old. Finally, Perry is falling so deeply in love with Cam that he has lost sight of the fact that he is only in ninth grade love, and he begins to envision more long-range plans. We don't know what Cam is feeling.
