William Robertson Nicoll founded and served as editor of The British Weekly beginning in 1886. The periodical addressed a broad range of issues and enjoyed a large readership for nearly fifty years. W. Robertson Nicoll (1851 - 1923) was editor of The Expositor for nearly forty years. He is also well known for editing the popular 'The Expositor's Greek Testament'.
