The book consists of five chapters and shows a research report in behavioral finance. It aims to provide a clear understanding of market incentives that causes managers to issue optimistic/pessimistic forecasts. Using a sample of companies listed in New York Stock Exchange, it is shown that reliability of management forecasts varies with the change in company's growth prospect.
Author Biography
Vahid Biglari (PhD, MSc, BSc, AFHEA) is a lecturer at The University of Newcastle (UoN) Singapore. He has more than ten years of combined experience in higher education teaching, research, and professional practice of corporate accounting and auditing. His areas of research interests and expertise include: human resources accounting; Big Data in accounting; financial reporting; transparency in financial markets.
