This book excites me every time i read it as it is my life on paper from early life, the start of my railway career, the meeting of my wife, my four children, then meeting all the railway charaters i met during my travels. The stories behind a lot of my charaters stiil puts a smile on my face when i recall them.Imade most of this journey also with one of my teenage friends who also contributes forty plus years of service.The railway system was a great place to work with lots of laughter and happiness, this has changed when the present system was introduced in 1995. It nows involves a lot of disharmony among the workplace and set up with a dog eat dog system as personel strive for achievements.
