Reflections: Women's Struggles for Justice and Equity - Paperback

by Renwick Rose (Author)

From the Introduction: "The role of women in sustainable development in the history of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been continuously overlooked by many historians. Oral tradition has brought their stories to the forefront. However, there is a tendency to dismiss these stories as myths and fables, and to relegate women's roles to housework and dutiful lovers. Nevertheless, much information on the role of women remains untold, because writers of early history did not see the importance of the role of women.... This publication...therefore, serve(s) as an incentive and encouragement to current researchers to continue their deep dive, because many questions remain unanswered."
