As an animal lover. Cheryl A. Hinckley has had may dogs, cats, cows geese, and horses as pets for many years. Because of her love for animals, Cheryl adopted and cared for seven dogs and still remembers the family dog Boots when she was a little girl in Kansas. These dogs inspired her to write "The Rescue Dog Series" for children. She also wants her books to be an educational tool.
