by M. E. Levine (Author)
When Karma and her friends take on trouble in their suburban neighborhood, things quickly spin out of control. It starts when a speeding car hits a child, and the moms find (and punish) the culprit before the cops get a chance. Is this justice or vigilantism? Is there a difference? And what moms could stand by after a teenager flashes their young daughters on the playground? Not these moms. Between fighting crime and bickering with each other, the moms contend with over-the-top kid birthday parties, escaped boa constrictors, and the humiliation of being late for preschool pickup. Then an obnoxious neighbor turns out to be a wife-beater, and the moms go full-on vigilante. He has to be stopped. Suddenly their quiet neighborhood is overrun with satellite TV trucks and well-coiffed reporters. And it may turn out that the moms have been manipulated all along by someone even more clever and devious than themselves.
Author Biography
M. E. Levine has been an entrepreneur, political consultant, professional writer, college instructor, stay-at-home mom, census worker, and (briefly) an Amway distributor. She's the mom of two adopted kids, servant to five cats, a lousy housekeeper, a fairly good wife, and a voracious listener of audio books. Her secret desire is to invent time travel and go back to tell her younger self to brush her teeth better and lay off the cookies.
